The BSR Stars has five tracks. The tracks are:
- Innovation milieus
- Clusters
- SME-Networks
- Capacity building and knowledge development
- FDI & Branding
Innovation milieus
Innovation and Research environments are the most important resource base for future competitiveness and wealth in our region. Today the milieus are not interconnected and do not work together in solving future challenges such as sustainable energy, risk and security, aging societies, ICT as examples. The stars programme will invest in collaborations between innovations hubs and create a innovation platform with strategic alliances based with companies, academia and society.
Clusters
Cluster initiatives are linking companies, academia and public agencies together to create commercial value. The Stars programme will support interlinking of cluster initiatives in the BSR region and serve as connecting forces to both innovation milieus and SME-networks.
SME-Networks
Companies that want to expand markets and renew product and services as well as be part of innovation projects are the target of this BSR Stars track. The Stars will provide companies with easy working conditions and provide smart funding for collaboration.
Capacity building and knowledge development
Times have changed. Faster then anyone dreamt of. This means that we as small countries, small share of the global market and research base need to upgrade what we do together and how we collaborate. Knowledge and hands on training of companies, academia and public agencies is needed to change our frameworks and behaviors to meet the growing challenges and staying competitive.
FDI & Branding
The BSR Stars advocate and will collaborate to attract talent, businesses and brain powers to the region. The Stars programme will brand and promote the macro regions smart specialization.
