BSR
The Baltic Sea Region is the first macro region in EU 27. The EU commission and the BSR countries decided on a BSR EU Strategy in October 2009. The BSR Stars programme is part of the BSR EU Action plan and is a fast track flagship action on Innovation. The Stars are led by Sweden, Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications and VINNOVA, The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems and by Lithuania, Ministry of Economy. All decisions are in the Stars High Level group where Island, Norway and the 8 BSR countries are represented by their Ministries and Innovation Agencies.
